Sara and Aaron had a winter wedding at The Missouri Ballroom at The Holiday Inn! They came all the way home from Korea, where they are both teachers. I was stunned by Sara’s beauty and thrilled with how much love I could see between the two of them. They were troopers and even went outside for a few shots! Click the images to see a larger version!
I feel that I owe an apology to anyone that visits this part of my website! Yes, although my blog has digital cobwebs, I am still in business and shoot all the time. I’ve just been so busy that I haven’t had time for blogging! (Yes, I know any photographer reading this is cringing right now as the cardinal sin of being a photographer is to not blog – I know!)
This is something I plan to pick back up at the first of the year. It just takes a lot of time to re-size and properly upload images that I’ve been resorting to Facebook for sharing new images to help save time, so that I can put all of my time and resources towards my clients. Please do feel free to visit my Facebook page right now at www.facebook.com/brightshotphotography and see all of the latest happenings!
Thank you for stopping by to see my blog, and please check back in January for new updates!
It seriously feels like we JUST did Roy’s newborn session, I can’t believe he is a year old! I have called him my GQ baby over the course of this last year because of his “blue steel” looks that he gives me all the time
Roy is very smart and was always way ahead of the game at every milestone, wanting to stand at 6 months and generally being a very sturdy and very curious little guy. We went to my FAVORITE place to shoot for Roy’s 1 Year pictures and he finally decided to whip out some great smiles (with a lot of help from mom, Stacy, and dad, Doug). Happy 1 year little guy!
Roy’s parents are so cool and laid back, not to mention really really good looking
(that’s a Zoolander reference for all you fans out there)
Roy’s mom and dad mentioned that he was probably extra happy because we were letting him crawl in the dirt. Whatever works!!
Throwing down some GQ fierceness!
Smiles! Love it!
I love how it looks like Roy is laughing about something to himself in this shot
Sliding with mom and dad!
Back to the GQ look
Fierce!
Dad can always help to find some smiles
What a beautiful family!
One more of my favorites….
And one more…
Thank you to Doug and Stacy for sharing the first year of Roy’s life with me! It has been an honor and so much fun to capture your little guy grow!
Cooper took a little spill but he cheered right up when he saw his tricycle!
The back of his ride said “Coopster” on it!
Well, he cheered up for a bit
Aw, there’s another smile!
Thanks to Cooper and his Mom & Dad for a super cute session!!
I have been SOO busy catching up from the Christmas rush!! With all of the work that went into the new site, I just haven’t had time to give blog posts the justice they deserve. I’ll be adding shorter, but more frequent posts in the future with lots of pictures! For now please visit my Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/brightshotphotography for the latest happenings. I’ll be in touch soon with some fabulous blogging!
Tricia and Cam are the epitome of the perfect couple. I was a little worried when we showed up to do their engagement session because it was totally overcast and starting to rain, but that didn’t stop us from having fun! Both brilliant students and college athletes at one of the most prestigious universities in the country, they also share amazing personalities and a hilarious sense of humor. I was laughing so hard the whole session that I’m surprised all of their images didn’t come out blurry. Thank goodness for VR lenses! We decided towards the end of the session that since they are both so athletic, it would be fun to have both of them climb up this tree and sit on the branch together. Cam helped Tricia up, but when it came to his turn, he just couldn’t quite make it! We were all laughing so hard as he kept trying to jump and pull himself onto the branch. I caught this shot just as we were about to give up. We eventually found something for Cam to stand and we did get both of them up in the tree. So much fun! Cam and Tricia even decided to use this as their Save the Date image! I can’t wait for their beautiful wedding this June!! Here is my entry for this week’s photo challenge: Eyes of Roux! Little Rouxlin has a ton of personality and always makes her sessions fun

Loved the antique look of the bride’s room.

Summer’s dress was perfect for her – I especially liked the flower detail, and the mesh around the beads.

Getting a good laugh in before the ceremony.

Coolest bridal necklace – ever!

Love seeing the look on the bride’s face the first time she sees herself.

Aren’t her shoes fab? Like girly disco balls!

Pretty lace on the bridal bouquet.

Summer is so beautiful ![]()

The girls are ready!

More pictures coming soon!
Rina is one of my favorite kiddos to photograph, and guess what? She is now the big sister to twin sisters! I enjoy every session I do with Rina’s family and always love seeing Rina’s personality grow. She is one of the funniest 2 year olds I know, not to mention completely adorable. Enjoy some of my favorite shots from her 2 year session this November!
Playing peek-a-boo in the curtains is always a good way to get the smiles going!

Rina never takes things too seriously for very long! ![]()

Sitting on the big girl chair.

Rina and her beautiful family.

Had to add one of Rina’s twin sisters, Arilyn and Karis!

One of my favorite shots of 2011!

Rina and her beautiful mom, Robyn.
